Gas Heaters
Gas heaters are an efficient and economical way
to heat any space, including garages, home offices, or even just small areas of
a room. There are many sizes and types of propane and natural gas heaters to
choose from, so you should be able to find the right gas heater to fit your
heating need.
Ever since the first gas heater was mass produced in 1856, people have been
utilizing this convenient and affordable method of home and space heating. In
the more than 150 years since, there have been great strides in the development
of propane and natural gas heating technologies, including various sizes,
capacities, and safety features.
Speaking of safety, you cannot consider a propane or natural gas heater with
thinking about the importance of safety. Things to consider include:
•
Size. Determine the capacity gas heater for the size of the
area you need to heat. The heater
should not have to overwork for
an area too that’s too big, and it should not be too large for an
area, to lessen the risk of
fire or getting burned.
• Ventilation. Natural gas and propane
heaters use the air in the room to run the heater. Sufficient
air circulation and ventilation
are important to help prevent the buildup of carbon monoxide, a
byproduct of the combustion
process that allows the heater to operate. Presence of carbon
monoxide in the air can cause
fatigue, nausea, or even death.
When planned for properly and used responsibly, natural gas and propane heaters
can keep a room or workspace cozy in even the chilliest of weather, allowing you
and your family to work, play, and rest all year round. |
